Powhatan Confederacy were the indigenous people of Virginia. The based their life on hunting and gathering. It was a small group of people living in Virginia. The Powhatan Confederacy and the British settlers did not have a good relation from the beginning. The british settlers thought that they would be accepted by the natives of Virginia, but it actually started a conflict between them and was the major reason behind the fall of the Powhatan Confederacy. The settlers thought that the Powhatan Confederacy would be the suppliers of food after their arrival, but the natives did not have much extra food. This started the main conflict.
