Goods and services cost so much duri g the gold rush because people were greddy and if you havs money and you found gold then services will cost more

Another reason: if you want to find gold youll have to buy tools such as a metal detector so the prices went up and if your all day trying to find gold then your gonna want water and food so thats why services and godds went up

The reason prices and services went up is because there was a good chance that you could find someone rich and make money off of them
