    First you need to get both x variables on the same side of the equation.

    0.75x - 18.50 = 0.65 x

    0.75x + (-0.75x) - 18.50 = 0.65x - 0.75x

    -18.50 = - 0.1x

    -18.50/-0.1 = - 0.1x/-0.1

    185 = x
