The Natives had different experiences with each of the different nations based on the fact that the European nations had each their own special interests with the lands of the natives. The Spanish were known for exterminating a good portion of the natives in their land conquests of the Americans, the English did a similar thing up north. The French and Dutch settlers were more smart and rather traded with them (although on a smaller scale similar things happened).
