What effect might a foreign conflict like the one mentioned in the reading have on Americans' support for their new nation and its government?

    The New Nation was resulted from the American Revolution against the Great Britain. The new territory would now be all of North America from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River between Canada and Florida. However, the foundation did not come easy from the Founding Fathers as the first constitution, the Articles of Confederation, was proven to be weak.
