How did the federalists and the antifederalists try to convince people to take their sides in the debate over the constitution?

    The antifederalists proposed the New Jersey plan which basically equals equal representation for all states. The federalists proposed the Virginia plan which basically means big states=more votes. This debate produced the Great Compromise or the 3/5 Compromise so the federalists and anti-federalists would both get what they wanted.
