Why do you think having children has such prominence in Christian marriage? Would you give it a hight priority in marriage? Why?

    Having children takes on a special significance in many religions, not only Christianity, because before there was proper care/medicine for mothers and new-born babies, many babies would die. It was therefore crucial for the Church to push for children, so that the state would carry on.

    In Christian marriages, especially families that follow the Quiverful ideology, children are considered one of the biggest blessings of a marriage, because a marriage is to lead to children, as seen in common wedding vows.
