A researcher and students wants to study the effectiveness of a new cancer drug. To do this, they plan on injecting rats with cancerous cells and then administering the drug to half and administering a placebo to the other half. Their data will be stored electronically, and collaboration between the researcher and students will be done over e-mail. What are some of the ethical concerns regarding this study, and how can they remedy these issues?

    I believe the answer is: Some ethical concerns would be that the rats could die. The counter would be that it is for the greater good.

    The ethical concerns revolve around whether the researchers should be involved in animal cruelties/torture in order to obtain the knowledge that they need.

    But most people would agree that by sacrificing these animals, we would obtain the knowledge that would save a large number of humans in the future., and as a human being we should held the lives of other human beings in higher regards compared to animals.
