What happens if the Senate and House of Representatives pass two different bills on the same topic?

Congress will meet with the president to agree on one or the other bill.

The conference committee will meet and resolve the bills' differences.

The Senate version of the bill will take precedence and go to the president.

    "The conference committee will meet and resolve the bills' differences" is what happens if the Senate and House of Representatives pass two different bills on the same topic. It could take years before the bill could be passed by the congress after it proposed. In order to eliminate time redundancy within the process, two different bills need to be resolved so it could be processed as one.
