What events led to a conflict between the Jamestown settlers and the powhatan confenderacy

    I believe the answer is: The colonists killed a Powhatan leader and the Powhatan's attacked back.

    But in settlers community, they framed it as if the native indians were somehow crude and agressive toward their millitary personels.

    This led to the millitary action made by the settlers which later known as the Indian Massacre of 1622 that occured in Virginia colony.
