If unification had occurred in 1960, what would have changed Cyprus?

a. Cyprus would have become part of Greece.

b. Cyprus would have cut ties to Turkey and Greece.

c. Greece and Turkey would have divided Cyprus.

d. Turkey would have taken over all of Cyprus.

    In 1960 the general plan was to have an independent Cyprus, where both Green and Turkish populations would be represented.

    The country would not be closely associated with either Turkey or Greece, but it would NOT cut ties with them! But it would be an independent country, so it would not be divided by the two countries.

    The question has a bit unfortunate, as the two possible answers (b and c) are close but not definitely correct. I would choose B but ideally, I would challenge the question ...
