What negative impact did Andrew Jackson have towards American Democracy?

    Andrew Jackson had a negative impact because he would reward those loyal to him with things such as jobs, no matter if they had good skill levels for the job or not. This was highly undemocratic as not everybody had a fair chance.

    He "rewarded" people with jobs, when those people had no skills for the jobs given. He also caused a historical event known as "The Trail Of Tears", which forced Cherokee Indians off of their land, which was good for the Americans, but not Americans who had relation with the Indians, and it was especially horrible for the Indians.
