    The answer is True.

    The said case was controversial because of the Supreme Court's stand on abortion. In the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, abortion was considered as an extended right to women. It states that abortion can only be accomplished during the first trimester, it is considered illegal when the fetus can live outside the womb (referred to as premature babies born on the 7th to 8th month of the pregnancy).

    This had caused a stir because of the spiritual stand of many citizens while some saw it as something practical, especially for those who are not ready to have babies.
