Upon contact with Europeans such as the English, French and the Spanish, the trade develop as the Indians exchange fur, hides for cloth. Also new animals were introduced such as sheep, pig and cattle. The horse was prized as a means of transportation. Unfortunately there were also negative changes such as the introduction of diseases like smallpox, measles and chickenpox. Many died as a result of contracting these diseases. Also with more Europeans settling in the new world, many Indian tribes were displaced from their lands.
