Greek philosophers believed that the sun, moon, and stars revolved around the earth. This is called Geocentrism, as opposed to heliocentrism, which states that the earth revolves around the sun. They believed that the earth was at the center of the universe.

Also, they believed (ancient greeks) that the motions of the planets were circular and elliptical. It was a widely accepted theory, until Kepler and Copernicus disproved it.

They had a strong belief in Geocentrism.
