    The most significant conclusion that thomson as able to draw from measurement is : he found the same value of q/m for different cathode material

    In this equation, q is the charge and m is the mass of the particle. After several experiment, Thomson realized that rays that came from different materials of Cathode, all have the q/m value equivalent to 1.76 x 10^11 C/kg
