What did the algonquian people wear

    The algonquian clothing was different upon gender. most women would wear skirts or dresses some of the dresses had removable long sleeves. Most men and women would wear there hair into long tight braids and some men would have there head partially shaved. men in the northern algonquian tribes wore tunics or shirts. men in the western algonquian tribes would go shirtless but in the winter they woud wear fur coats or fur animals. moccasins are a type of foot wear that men and women would often wear. in the winter to had extra warmth men and women would often wear leggings that where made from animal skin. the warriors would wear there hair in a tight Mohawks that was stood up with grease. they would often wear paint on there face.
