    Well first reason is. Indians were not allowed to dwell. (feel sad, cry.) if missons wernt established then we wouldn't be allowed to be sad in public. Another reason is, Indians were suppose to be Catholic ... they were not allowed to pick their beliefs. If rules were still like this, then we would not be allowed to believe in other gods.
