In what way did the writing of "The Star - Spangled Banner" represent the American spirit at the end of the War of 1812?

    The Star Spangled Banned showed that even in the worst of conditions American soldiers would have hope. It says "our flag was still there" this essentially means that even damaged and broken they haven't fallen.
