Why does the Arabian peninsula have small amounts of farming?

Because they are required to pay high amount of taxes money if they have large farmland.

Because the reason why the Arabian Peninsula didn't have a big farm is because they had a good amount of food and Although its not surplus food they had to pay taxes and so forth and they couldn't even afford the money to the build a bigger farm plus the Arabian have to travel too far places just to trade
