How did the ancient Greeks represented fractions

    The denominator is how many equal pieces that the one whole unit is divided into. the numerator tells how many of those equal pieces is measured. so like if you have 7/10 the unit is divided into 10 equal parts and you have 7 pieces of the whole

    The ancient Greeks represented fractions by writing the denominator with a single or double accent. Other fractions were often indicated by placing a single accent on the numerator and writing the denominator twice, each time with a double accent.
