How did life in the middle colonies compared to life in New England

    Middle: mild climates, farming, slaves (some), fertile soil. Jobs: Fishers, Small scale farmers, Shop owners, Entrepreneurs, Skilled Artisans also Shipbuilder their was an abundance of trees so lumber was easily cut and moved to the coast where ships could be build for English companies.

    New England: cold, rocky, fur trading, fishing and lumber, short growing seasons, shipbuilding. Jobs:Farmers, fishers, merchants, shipbuilders, lumberjacks.
