    The correct answer should be D. The industrial capacity of the United States. The US was a leader in industry and production even before the war, and with all industries and economies in Europe destroyed, there was nothing to stop it since the land wasn't destroyed like European land and countries were. It could thus produce more tha anyone during the war, and even more after the war.
