The Communist Government intervened in family life during the Cultural Revolution by not giving its people the right to decide where they want to be placed in society. Families are assigned roles so that Mao Che Dong during that time period would be able to remain in full control of his country. Therefore, people were segregated to industries and were led to believe that in order for their country to be great, they also need to serve their country. Such practice became a limiting factor for families to become coherent.
