The people of Boston resented the Brittish soldiers for several reasons. The British soldiers were given order to watch over the people of Boston. Boston became overcrowded, mainly because each soldier was to watch over 4 people. Also, the british solders were told that the people were required to provide them food, warmth, and a place to stay. The reason that the British were ordered to watch over the people was because a few weeks ago, the British had taxed the citizens of Boston because of damage done from the French and Indian War. They taxed, which led to protest. In response, Great Britian sent soldiers to watch over the people and make surethat they paid.
