The French and the Indian War affects the relationship between the 13 colonies and Britain because the war ended up taking the French out of North America. The colonists no longer had to fear being taken by France if they were to break free from Britain. It also affects the relationship because the war costed a huge amout of money, so the British kind of felt as if the colonies should pay some part of that sum. The colonists had not been taxed as heavily as the people in Britain itself and the British government should change. Also the taxes that the British then imposed on in the colonies were one of the most major causes of the discontent which had eventually led to the Revolutionary War.
