    Most likely it would be the South because that is where segregation has the most support but even in urban areas in both the north and south have been schools practicing segregation. They may have a different reason for doing so but some schools in Northern states like Boston had segregation as well. Eventually this system was abolished due to the efforts of the federal government as well as civil rights movement that enabled Blacks as well as other minorities the same chances as whites.
