    In 1940, Muhammad Ali Jinnah announced his idea for the separation of Hindus and Muslims through the creation of the new state of Pakistan and this became the Lahore Resolution. In March 1940, Muslim League was having its 3 day session in Lahore and in the last day this was the famous resolution that was passed by the attending members. Jinnah was the propagator of the two nation theory and he gave a two hour speech on the final day in support of this resolution.
