    The correct answer which does not characterize the Baroque Era is the b) An age of freedom and democracy. Although the Baroque Period is definitely deemed as freer and open to all people, the Revolutions across Europe had not happened yet (they came shortly afterwards) there was still in place an absolute monarchy in most countries. It was an age of reason, because the Catholic Church went through internal reforms, as there was a lot of questioning about the validity of the Church and it was definitely an era of change, adventure and exploration as artists depicted heavily emotional scenes in their paintings.
