By 1860 where were most of the country's goods manufactured

    By the 1800s manufacturing industries in the United States were mostly located in the East and the Midwest. This is because of the railway systems that were developed within the area which paved the way for goods to be delivered to different states in the United States. Aside from this, the spaces for these areas are much wider than it is in the north and the south.
