How has the 10th amendment increased the power of the states?

    The 10 amendment states, " The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

    This is basically saying that anything that was not given to the federal government and not banned by the Constitution is a power of the states. thus increasing the power of the states
