Discuss in english two cultural practices that are different between the french speaking world and the united states.

One of the cultural practices, I have observed between French and American is how they greet people. French people greet others by giving out air kisses or touch their cheeks to the cheeks of the other or kiss the cheeks of the person they are greeting. American greet others through handshakes. French tend to be exuberant and friendly in their greetings while Americans are more formal or stoic.

Another difference I have noticed between these people is the way they treat meal times. French people make their meal a special time. They eat fresh food with their love ones. They spend their meal times bonding with others or merely relaxing. Americans, on the other hand, are too busy to sit and eat a proper meal. They more often than not eat sandwiches or microwave frozen dinners, and eat it in front of tv or infront of a computer.
