Why were the Articles of Confederation replaced with the Constitution?

    A. The Articles of Confederation did not give strong power to the federal government.

    More specifically, the federal government lacked the power to tax, and they had to ask the states. The states often didn't give or didn't contribute enough.

    The articles of confederation do not give the central government to regulate the taxation system in the country and the amount of tariff that must be imposed for foreign products to come in.

    This make it really hard for united states to formulate appropriate economic policies that would benefit the country
