The nurse is talking with a patient who is in the hospital from complications related to alcoholism. the patient states, "my father and grandfather were alcoholics. do you think this is why i am?" what is the best response by the nurse?

    Drinking alchol is not hereditary is the best answer of the nurse. It is true that if someone is there in ones family who is a drunkard, can influence the others. But is not mandatory that all tehe others in the family will become drunkards. It depends upon ones attitude and hence such complications can be treated and cured.
