False. Most x-linked conditions occur on the X chromosome, because the Y chromosome contains roughly 40 genes, and the conditions of X-linked diseases are primarily recessive.

A male with an X-linked disease will express the phenotype, only passing his X deformity to his daughters. The male will only pass his Y chromosome to his sons, leaving the expression of the X-linked disease in males to the inherited X from the mother. Women have two X chromosomes, receiving one from the mother, and one from the father.

If females express an X-linked recessive disease, it is due the inherited recessive X from both mom and dad.
