Why are fingerprints classified as individual evidence

    Hello! I don't know much about Forensics. However, the reason why they are considered individual evidence rather than class evidence is because of the unique ridge patterns. They are also called minutiae. It makes the class characteristics unique to the person who has said fingerprint. Making it, an individual evidence.
