The cerebrum is the largest part of the brain. It is divided into 2 parts (halves) called the left and right cerebral hemispheres. The 2 hemispheres are connected by a bridge of nerve fibres called the corpus callosum. The cerebrum is further divided into four lobes. These include the frontal (front), parietal (top), temporal (side) and occipital (back) lobes and each lobe has a different function. Your grandmother has had a stroke and a portion of her cerebrum has been damaged. Although she understands what you say to her, she reads and watches television, she cannot speak. What lobe of your grandmother's brain has been damaged by the stroke?

The frontal lobe would be damamged because the frontal lobe controls speech, while the parental and temporal control things like reading learning, language, etc. The occipital controls sight.
