Is it possible for a solution to be hypertonic and hypotonic?

depends on how you're comparing-1 cell in a solution can be hypertonic while another cell can be hypotonic.

In diffusion, molecules move down their concentration gradient, so in a hypotonic solution, where the inisde of the cell has a greater concentration than the solute, why do diagrams in my biology book show the movement of water going inside the cell? because it seems logical to me that since molecules tend do move down their concentration gradients, the molecules in the cell would move outside, to an area with a lower concentration (solute).
