Why does a coastal area have less variation in temperature than a noncoastal area? Temperatures feel cool all year round due to the duration of daylight. Temperatures change from warm to cool depending on the season. The temperatures on land change more rapidly than temperatures on water. The air is warm because warm water moves from the equator to the poles.

    C.

    Explanation:

Land are allowed to cool and heat quickly than water and it affects the climate of different areas on Earth. that is why non-coastal areas have more variation in temperature than coastal areas.

Coastal areas have less variation in temperature because water reflects most of the radiation from sun back to the atmosphere that reaches at its surface while land or non-coastal areas absorbs more sunlight and it retain at the land surface for energy. Thus these different energy processes contribute to different rates of heating between water and land.

Hence, the correct option is C.
