    Follicle-stimulating Hormone (FSH)

    Explanation:

After attaining puberty, the mature ovaries of a woman release one egg per ovarian cycle due to follicle-stimulating hormone. FSH is gonadotrophic hormone, generally produced by the pituitary glands. It regulates the function of ovaries in female and testes in male. Lack of this hormone can lead to infertility both in male and female. At time of menstrual cycle of a female there is a rise in secretion of FSH that stimulates follicular growth in the ovary.
