Explain how the introduction of a new species to an ecosystem can disrupt the balance of that ecosystem

I adds another group of predators or prey thereby shortening the availability of food because if it is a predator then they will be eating the food that other animals were eating before and if it is prey there will be more food which means living longer for other species which results in more reproduction and overcrowding
