The first three steps of a scientific inquiry are:

    1. Observation

    2. Ask a question

    3. Hypothesis

    Explanation:

    Observation

This is what is seen as regards an experiment, what is carefully noticed. Example is, I want to make omelette, i lit the stove and put my pan on the stove, pour in the oil and add my eggs. I wait patiently to let it fry.

    Ask a question

These are questions related to the experimental e. g why didnt the oomelette fry?

    Hypothesis

Propose hypothesis, these are potential answers to tge questions that can somehow be tested for. This could be:

Maybe I didn't lit up the stove as i thought or may be the gas is finished in the cylinder.

These three all linger around the omelette.
