Mixtures can be separated by physical means.

Mixtures are made up of more than one component.

    Explanation:

Mixtures are made up of more than one component and can be easily separated by physical means.

For example: A mixture of wheat and chaff can easily be separated by means of winnowing which is a physical method of separation. Air plays a very important role in separation. Chaff being lighter than wheat grain fall at a distance apart from wheat thus both of them get separated.
