Ribosomes are the minute components comprises of RNA and related proteins. They comprise two RNA-protein subunits, and are found in the cytoplasm, and read the sequence of RNA to produce proteins.

On the other hand, RNA polymerase II is a multiprotein complex, is found in the nucleus, and is used in the process of transcription.

The similarity between both the ribosomes and RNA polymerase is that both comprise protein components.
