    All living organism have cells which consists water as one of its major constituents.

    Explanation:

    Yes water is a compound that is common to all living things. All living organism have three organic element in common i. e hydrogen, oxygen and carbon.

    There are different organic solvents and fluids with in all living organism including a single celled species. A unit cell has fluid enclosed in it with in which the major constituent is water. Since all living units are made up of cells it can be said that water is a compound common to all living things
