    Due to the low levels of hemoglobin in people with anemia, they get tired really fast during physical activities. This is because they do not have enough hemoglobin to carry oxygen to muscle tissues - and other tissues. Hemoglobin is significant in the transport of oxygen from the lungs to tissues and also the transport of carbon dioxide from tissues to the lungs for expiration.
