Two species cannot occupy the same niche because

a. one species will be successful and "move up" into another niche.

b. they will compete for food or shelter until one species wins out.

d. predators will always kill off one the species.

    They can only occupy the same habitat, not niche. There is too much competition, causing one of the species to become extinct.
