    Answer: B. In both oogenesis and spermatogenesis, the cells become haploid after meiosis I.

    In the last stage of Meosis I (Telophase I), cytokinesis has separated the 2 cells apart and form 2 daughter cells that contain half of the original number of chromosomes. The same processes happen during oogenesis and spermatogenesis.
