Increased human growth usually means that more land is required for them to live and an increased supply of food and other resources is also required. When land is required, scale of deforestation increases which inadvertently calls for more environmental protection laws. Similarly, an increased human population also leads to increased waste (chemical, industrial, etc) being produced, which affect the aquatic and other forms of life on earth. Hence, more environmental laws are called in for protection.
