Cholesterol is very essential in our nervous system, particularly, the brain. In fact, cholesterol is what fuels our brain in order to function for learning and memory. The reason we need to sleep is that our brain would be able to produce more cholesterol. This cholesterol is very beneficial because it serves as the lipid coat of the cells in our body.
